Audience: Students, Faculty and Staff
Description: Sheltering in place means that many of us are communicating online a lot more than we used to. But, communicating in virtual spaces, through text and social media, in a supportive and safer manner involves understanding your boundaries, consent and much more!
In this online workshop, the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region and the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office, will talk about how online violence, including sexual harassment happens, and provide tools and skills for negotiating respectful communication. We will also review resources for those who need support.
This workshop is being held in support of Sexual Violence Prevention Month. We stand with and support survivors, and those impacted by sexual violence, and we act to dispel myths that survivors cause the violence to happen #NoOneAsksForIt
