In this interactive workshop facilitated by the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region participants will come together solo or with their partner(s) to gain knowledge of healthy relationships, healthy communication and healthy boundaries. Together participants will explore key aspects of healthy relationships, identify challenges and barriers to living them out with an emphasis on the unique experiences of queer relationships and identities. Through guided discussion, interactive activities and real-life scenarios participants will explore, reflect, and share alternatives to unhealthy approaches to connection. This session will increase participants awareness of their wants, needs, strengths and skills while listening and valuing others.
This workshop is 1.5 hours with an optional 30 min to ask questions of the facilitator and participants about their experiences, challenges and share successes.
Happy PRIDE! Relationships are unique. The connections we form take work and this session is a space for queer identified folks to come together, alone or with partner(s), to explore how we can have healthier relationships, healthy communication and healthy boundaries for the respect and benefit of ourselves and others.
