Open to current Space Makers, this workshop provides participants the tools needed to facilitate the Making Spaces workshops.

Participants will also receive practical recommendations and support to enable them to serve and to support the UWaterloo community and be an ally for social equality and equity. 

Participants learn more about gender identity/expression, sexual identity, homophobia, heterosexism, bi-phobia, transphobia and how these intersect with other identities.

Thirty years after employment equity programs were first introduced into the academy, this talk provides an unfiltered account of where the academy has succeeded and where challenges remain, particularly as it relates to racial justice, disability justice and decolonization.
