Trans Awareness Week and Trans Day of Remembrance
This week – the week leading up to Trans Day of Remembrance (November 20) – is Trans Awareness Week. This is a time dedicated to increasing visibility and awareness of transgender communities, their resilience and the ongoing discrimination they encounter. We have created a non-exhaustive list of events, resources, and voices to amplify visibility and understanding.
Thanks to all for their commitments, honouring and organization of events and vigils for Trans Day of Remembrance, including the Gender Variant Working Group, Waterloo Region.
Please share widely, and help us add to this list so that it will remain a source of knowledge and support for all weeks of the year. Email janessa.good@uwaterloo.ca to add to this list!
