Cross Canada Challenge

In support of UW WELL-FIT, our CCCARE community will be trekking 7560km across Canada for the month of May. UW WELL-FIT is a portfolio of programs for those who have undergone or are undergoing cancer treatment, providing invaluable exercise and community. Register as an individual or a team to run, walk, bike or wheel across Canada while raising funds for the program. Teams will be celebrated at our Community BBQ and Open House on June 5th! The Legacy of Environmental Racism in North America: Perspectives from Canada and the United States

This event will feature presentations from two high-profile advocates who are leading community-level resistance movements against environmental racism followed by an interactive, student-led discussion.

"The work of building a more just world includes acknowledging the world that is, and that was. This knowledge can be overwhelming, especially for people with marginalized identities. This talk will reflect on strategies from past and current movements, as well as how my own teaching has changed."
