An introductory workshop to help students, faculty and staff develop greater understandings of 2SLGBTQ+ identities; gain knowledge about protected rights; and identify and explore barriers to develop and foster actions that create a more welcoming campus environment and offer meaningful and relevant support.

As part of the Water Institute's WaterLeadership training series, the Water Institute, presents, "Evolution of Science Communications” with special guest, David Janzen, Lecturer from the Department of Communication Arts.

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series, Jacob de Boer,
Professor Emeritus, Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology, Vrije University
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, will present: Microplastics in the environment
and pitfalls in their analysis.

This is a two-part workshop that journeys through First Nations, Inuit, and Metis relations with settlers.

Lorrie provides the history of the institution over its 140 year history. Viewers will get to see the different rooms in the school, from the girls’ and boys’ dormitories, the cafeteria, laundry room, and other rooms throughout the building, as well
as hear interviews from five Survivors of the Mohawk Institute.

Visiting Fulbright Scholar Professor Emerita Mary Stewart will discuss ways she has connected various forms of knowledge in her artwork and writing. Time permitting, we will end with an active-learning brainstorming session.

This foundational workshop is designed to give you an understanding of equity and how our interactions with one another are shaped by systems of oppression, power, and privilege.

The Indigenous peoples of the University of Waterloo will ask Vivek Goel, President and Vice-Chancellor, for a full commitment to reconciliation, Indigenization and decolonization at the institution.

The ceremony will commence with a Sunrise Ceremony located at 7:00 a.m. at the Ceremonial Fire Grounds at United College.
