In this session, Matt Neill, Product Designer at Faire, will discuss how to utilize design thinking to start your project off on the right foot. By the end of the session, you will learn how to translate user insights into actionable steps that solve problems for your customers.

FASS (Faculty Alumni Staff and Student) Theatre Company presents "FASS-O-VISION"! This year's show will be virtually hosted with a mixture of live acting and pre-recorded scenes. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUW, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxUW, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Our theme this year is 2020 Vision.

In the Decolonizing Methodologies for Sustainability Research Speaker Series, researchers from across Canada and the globe share their unique approaches to decolonizing research, and how they conduct research that is inclusive, mindful of local cultural practices, and sensitive to diverse research contexts.

CPI's Michele Mosca and Sara Zafar Jafarzadeh discuss why it is important to act now, even though cryptographically-relevant quantum computers are not available.

We will be presenting a recital of English songs and duets by British, Canadian, and American composers, including Vaughan Williams, Barber, Finzi, Larsen, Raminsh, and Weill. Since the partnership between poetry and music is so essential to art song, we wanted to return to our linguistic roots by presenting songs written in our mother tongue. As we chose sets for this recital, the theme of women arose, as our songs are written about women, or set the words of women."
