The Quantum - Nano Fabrication and Characterization Facility (QNFCF) and Transformative Quantum Technologies (TQT) will be hosting a TEM Open House on Tuesday, October 29, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at QNC 0101 to celebrate one year of QNFCF's launch of advanced S/TEM capabilities. Join us for a series of engaging presentations covering the latest advancements in TEM technology, sample preparation techniques, and data analysis methods.

This event is open to all students and aims to introduce people to our office and what we do on campus. This event features desserts from the local bakery and Waterloo graduate Lenjo Bakes so be sure to stop by for tasty snacks!

We are excited to invite you to a special gathering designed to foster support and connections among women and non-binary leaders across our community campus. This event is co-hosted by the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-racism, the Office of Indigenous Relations and Campus Wellness. It is open to all women-identifying and non-binary leaders, who also identify as Indigenous, Black, or racialized and who oversee teams and/or supervise direct reports.

The Innovation Open House Mixer is an opportunity to meet fellow students and aspiring or emerging entrepreneurs from across campus. Join us to make friends, gain valuable contacts and build connections with Velocity and its resources. You’ll also have the chance to connect with representatives from Math Innovation, Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business, GreenHouse (Social Impact and Indigenous Incubators), Grebel Peace Incubator, Future Cities Institute, the Library and Socratica.

Join EDGE and CCD for the Fall 2024 Volunteer Fair!

This event offers students an opportunity to meet local organizations that are recruiting volunteers.

Representatives from 30 local organizations will be present to speak with current students about their organization's mission and volunteering needs.

Are you looking into pursuing future studies but not sure where to start? The Further Education Fair is the perfect opportunity for you! On October 10th, you will be able to speak with representatives about programs and schools you're interested in. Talk to over 70+ representatives from teaching, law, MBA, engineering, health, pharmacy, optometry, veterinary medicine, social work, college post-degree/certificate programs in Canada and abroad.

The Quantum Nano Fabrication and Characterization Facility (QNFCF) and Transformative Quantum Technologies (TQT) will be hosting an open house at the Research Advancement Centre (RAC) to celebrate the opening of the Inert Atmosphere Fabrication Lab (IAFL). Join us as we showcase the shared lab equipment available to our academic community and industry partners. This event will feature a motivating talk by Adam Wei Tsen, IQC Associate Professor, on the research that this new 2D material device fabrication lab will enable. Lab tours and talks about tool capabilities will follow.

Register to join us on Wednesday, June 5 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. for our in-person Graduate Studies Fair to have all of your questions answered by faculty members, current grad students and admission experts from each department!

Eight student-led teams will pitch to a panel of judges in hopes of winning their share of $20,000 for their ambitious idea! The finalists will take the stage on April 4th in the Theatre of the Arts, Modern Languages Building at 12 – 2:30 pm. Doors open at 11:30 am. Lunch provided.
