Building Consent Culture at UWaterloo!

The Innovation Open House Mixer is an opportunity to enjoy some food and refreshments, meet fellow students and aspiring or emerging entrepreneurs, make friends, gain valuable contacts, and build connections to all things Velocity including our people, spaces, and resources.

TQT will host the Quantum Opportunities and Showcase on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the University of Waterloo. The event will feature panels, presentations and posters. 

Be in the audience as UWaterloo student teams pitch their startup ideas to a panel of judges.

The top 8 teams from across night one and night two will move on to the Velocity $5K Finals on November 30th to compete for a chance at one of four $5,000 prizes in grant funding to help turn their concept into a reality.

Come check out the projects in a science-fair style event and vote for your favourite to win a People’s Choice Award!

The Computer Museum is hosting Hardware Day! Drop in or attend one of two talks:

• 11:00 a.m. Gregor Richards, CS Professor at Waterloo "Unearthed or exhumed? Obscure computing and gaming trash and/or treasure".
• 2:00 p.m. Steven Garan, Waterloo Alumni "How Silicon Valley became Silicon Valley".

Visit the University of Waterloo's Earth Sciences Museum for our annual Gem and Mineral Show! Admission is always free. Join us on the first and second floors of the EIT building for two days of gems, minerals, fossils, and jewellery. Fill out a ballot at the door to have a chance to win a door prize.

Join us on October 28th for an extravaganza of hands-on science discovery for school-age kids! From 10:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday we'll fill the Science Teaching Complex (STC) and EIT with opportunities for kids to explore science.
