Like many grad students over the last year, Shoshannah Speers (MSc Public Health and Health Systems) had to change her research plans. Working with a non-governmental organization in the Philippines, Shoshannah pivoted her research to understanding the experience of community volunteers responding to the new food security emergency. She says: "The shift brought initial disappointments, but it has also provided me with an opportunity to reflect more deeply on research methods and expanded my view on collaboration within global health research." A positive outcome to challenging times is that this research has the potential to make a difference, right now.
