Who is eligible?
PhD students beginning full-time studies in fall 2026 (September 2026) or winter 2027 (January 2027).
The housing guarantee is not available to PhD students coming with a spouse and/or children. If you’re coming with a spouse or children, you can apply to the family housing waitlist and seek off-campus housing.
Which housing is part of the guarantee?
Single graduate student housing at Columbia Lake Village South, featuring a private bedroom in a shared graduate student townhouse in a vibrant community of fellow graduate students.
Application information
Applications will open February 1, 2026. Accept your Offer of Admission by the deadline and apply to single graduate student housing by June 8,11:59 pm ET to secure your guaranteed spot for fall 2026. Housing offers will be made on a rolling basis. When applying, select Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 to secure your guaranteed housing as the guarantee is only available as a two-term offer.
Applications for winter 2027 will open in September 2026, with an application deadline of October 1 at 11:59 pm ET. Winter 2027 will also be an 8-month two-term non-renewable contract (January 2027 to August 2027).
