In-person Cooking Session:
In community and supported by a chef, students will develop food literacy though cooking tasty, nutritious, culturally specific meals on a budget. Come join us to learn about meal prepping, importance of nutrition while studying, grocery shopping tips, and safe food storage techniques.
Note: All ingredients used will be halal and nut-free. Please feel free to indicate any dietary restrictions by answering the registration question.
Episode 4 Menu: Peruvian Chicken Estofado with Jasmine rice.
Conversation Circle:
This section is open to ALL students, even if you are waitlisted.
Students will also engage in an optional conversation (~30-45 min) to discuss food from a decolonial lens. Instead of having one restrictive topic, the goal would be to build community with peers, foster conversation, learning and unlearning about inter-cultural and decolonial perspectives on food.
Engage in activities such as recipe sharing!
