When you're nearing the end of your exchange term, here are some things you need to complete before you head back home. For more information, contact a Global Learning Coordinator. 

Fees

Once you have completed your exchange program at the University of Waterloo it is important that you settle any outstanding fees before you leave campus. If you have any fees owing on your account, your University of Waterloo transcript will not be issued until the fees are settled. You can verify your finances through Quest.

Transcripts

Your official Waterloo transcript will be available to share in electronic format to your home institution approximately two months following the end of your study term. You will receive instructions once they are ready to share.

Once your exchange term is done, do keep in touch with us!

  • Let us know how your experience was and how we can further enhance future exchange students' experience. Upon completion of your exchange term, you will receive a feedback survey via email.
  • Did you take photos/videos during your exchange? Feel free to send them our way and with your permission, we'll share them on our channels!

If you have gently used items that you don’t plan on brining home with you, consider donating them to a local thrift store or one of the following locations on campus. Please be sure to read their webpages for full details.
