Nandita Basu joins the IJC Great Lakes Science Advisory Board

Nandita Basu, Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth and Environmental Sciences, will now serve on the Great Lakes Science Advisory Board of the International Joint Commission, representing Canada. 

The Great Lakes Science Advisory Board provides advice on research to the International Joint Commission and to the Great Lakes Water Quality Board. As part of the board, Nandita will provide advice and expertise on scientific matters referred to the board by the International Joint Commission.

Nandita brings expertise in anthropogenic influences on water quality and quantity, particularly within the Great Lakes. Her research focuses on innovative solutions to today’s water challenges.

Nandita Basu is the Director of the Collaborative Water Program and leads the Lake Futures research project.
