• Provides an in-depth geodata and cartographic information and consultation service
• Develops instructional and outreach/promotional services, publications, and programs
• Develops staff training programs relevant to the delivery of geodata services, and coordinates and delivers this training
• Develops geospatial and cartographic collection

Markus’ main responsibilities include:

• Provides advanced geospatial technical and information services

• Provides instruction on GIS software, in classrooms, workshops and one-on-one

• Develops geospatial digital projects to enhance data collection access and discovery

• Provides Geographic Information Services (GIS) support and specialized geospatial instruction
• Provides GIS consultation services to faculty, students, and staff
• Provides information services at Help Desk and virtually
• Creates and edits content for library displays, publications, course specific handouts, social media and websites.
