If you’ve been to the Doris Lewis Reading Room in the Special Collections & Archives (SCA) recently, you may have noticed something new. A Tremaine Map of Upper Canada circa 1862 now hangs prominently on one of the walls.

ORCID pilot project update

As the snow settles on the ground, covering Mother Earth with that protective blanket, we two-leggeds respond by settling into our lodges, and welcoming the warmth of connection and family that envelopes us. For Anishinaabe, biiboon/winter is the season for sharing stories.

Those wishing to find a spot to study at our Libraries can now check how busy our various study spaces are before you visit by going to the Libraries homepage or bookmarking our page on Waitz to view live occupancy levels of specific floors or spaces within our libraries.

Lynn Dramnitzki remembers fondly her father working at the University of Waterloo during her childhood, as a custodian and facilities staff person. When the time came for her to consider universities, there was no question where she wanted to go.

As a Sociology major at Waterloo, Lynn enjoyed her time on campus. Attending talks and author readings, and evenings at Fed Hall were just as impactful as her studies as she navigated university life and learned about who she was. She completed her undergraduate degree, transformed by a passion for learning.

As part of the Libraries' efforts to ensure learning materials are freely accessible and available to learners and researchers at Waterloo, we’re once again seeking applications from Waterloo instructors with projects to create or adapt an open educational resource (OER) for a Waterloo course.
