designed

further
explore
opportunities
in
the
fields
of
finance
and
economics.

Khin
Phyo Hlaing's
Bio
Khin
Phyo
Hlaing
is
a
fourth
year
PhD
student
whose
primary
interest
is
in
tax
accounting
research.
Phyo
obtained
a
Bachelor
of
Engineering
degree
in
Electronic
Communication
from
the
Yangon
Institute
of
Technology,
and
a
Masters
of
Business
Administration
and
Accounting
from
the
University
of
Hawaii
at
Manoa.
Prior
to
joining
the
PhD
program,
Phyo
worked
several
years
in
transportation,
trading,
and
manufacturing
industries
at
various
managerial-level
positions
in
Myanmar.
She
also
worked
as
a
financial
accountant
for
a
non-profit
organization
in
Hawaii.
Her
current
research
interest
includes
corporate
tax
avoidance,
effect
of
taxes
on
real
corporate
decisions,
and
consequences
of
corporate
income
shifting.
