MPSA: Toastmaster's Workshop on Public Speaking & Professional Networking

MPSA event for current students - A professional development workshop for the purpose of helping current MPS students improve their communication, public speaking and professional networking skills. Through a series of “trial and error” type activities, students will learn how to directly speak to a live audience as well as how to network for their career.

MPS Convocation Reception

A special event for the MPS Class of 2015 - We welcome family and friends of the graduating students to join us as we celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2015 on their special day! At this drop-in reception, we will have lots of delicious food and some gifts for our MPS graduands. We will also present the 2015 MPS Excellence Award to the Waterloo MPS alumnus with the highest overall average in their graduating class. We look forward to celebrating with you!

A warm welcome for all new MPS students - MPS Orientation is jam-packed with great presentations, fun activities, and opportunities for you to get to know your fellow classmates, Uptown Waterloo, the University of Waterloo, and many members of our wonderful MPS community.

Come check out your new 24-7 program space and get a warm welcome from MPS staff, instructors, alumni, and special guests. This is an excellent opportunity for you to unwind before lectures begin on Monday, Sept. 14.

Crisis Management with the Honourable John Milloy

A workshop for the MPS Class of 2017 - Facilitated by former Ontario cabinet minister and member of provincial parliament, Dr. Milloy, this workshop focuses on how different actors react and respond to various crises and issues in Canada. Students will have the opportunity to review and learn about some recent issues, and develop leadership and problem-solving skills in the process. This is the first workshop of a two-part series.
