MPS student Keith Chau investigates public-nonprofit partnerships

Friday, March 22, 2013

Student Keith Chau (MPS Class of 2013) has just been published in the Spring 2013 edition of Public Sector Digest. The article, entitled "The Public-Nonprofit Partnership: Hybrid Or Symbiotic?", offers a thorough and insightful analysis of the increasingly important role the nonprofit sector plays in public service delivery.

With a strong presence in services ranging from health and education to social programs, the nonprofit sector has become a popular destination for government transfer of services as a form of privatisation and alternative service delivery.

Keith discusses the efficiencies and transfers that flow between the public and nonprofit sectors on federal and provincial levels, with an emphasis on service delivery and the ways in which the nonprofit sector assists with the provision of certain goods and services. Great work, Keith!

A physical copy of the article is available in the MPS building; to view an online copy, visit the Public Sector Digest website (please contact Sheila McConnell for login information).
