Matthew Johnson
Congratulations to Matthew Johnson, MPS 2012, who recently received a Deputy Minister’s Award for his work at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food (OMAF) and the Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs (MRA).
Matthew worked in the Rural Programs Branch at OMAF and MRA from 2011 – 2012, both during and after his MPS co-op work terms. In addition to his role as a Project Analyst, he was active on committees and special projects including the Social Media Team.
The Building Recognition and Value at OMAF and MRA (BRAVO) Deputy Minister’s Award , was awarded to the Social Media Team who designed and produced a best practices and key learnings guide for using social media within the ministry. This included how to successfully communicate internally and externally using social media mediums. The guide was a comprehensive document that helped launch a strategy eventually managed by the ministry’s communications team and Deputy Minister’s Office.
