Director Dr. Henstra talks about the MPS program for the latest issue of Public Sector Management magazine. Entitled "Master of Public Service Program at the University of Waterloo," the article discusses the program's structure, the student experience, and the merits the program has to offer in terms of providing students with an opportunity to work within the public sector and coming out of the program with a competitive edge.
Through their work on team assignments, participation in workshops and social interaction at organized events, the students forge bonds that lay the foundation for a professional career network. Sharing their diverse co-op work experiences helps students understand the realities of public service work and map out a career path for the future.
You can find the article in Issue 23, Volume 1 of Public Sector Management; a copy is available in the MPS building. If you'd like to view the issue online, please visit The Institute of Public Administration of Canada's website.
