Anindya Sen
The Master of Public Service program extends a warm welcome to Anindya Sen, who now officially joins MPS as Director. Professor Sen’s directorship of the program officially began on July 1, 2015. He is no stranger to MPS though, having been with the program since its very inception. He was part of the cross-disciplinary team that created and developed the program, and he has been teaching economics to MPS students since 2011.

Professor Sen brings leadership and his own public service experience to his role as Director. He recently served as Associate Chair of Graduate Studies for the Department of Economics, and has worked as an Economist at the Competition Bureau, Industry Canada, prior to working at the University of Waterloo.

Professor Sen is well-known for preparing MPS students with a solid foundation in cost-benefit analysis and statistical analysis, so they are fully equipped to take on these challenges in their future careers. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award in 2014.

We congratulate Professor Sen on his new position in the MPS program and we are very excited to see where his enthusiasm and passion for the program takes us.
