Construction fencing/hoarding will be going up around the SLC courtyard and into BMH Green this week. Please see the construction diagram attached.
The SLC/PAC Expansion will help address student space needs on campus by adding an additional 63,000 square feet of space. The expansion will connect to the current SLC on all three floors and connect with the Red North corner of the PAC. A collaborative venture between the University of Waterloo, the Federation of Students and the Graduate Student Association; the project was approved by undergraduate and graduate students in a referendum vote in February 2016. The project committee, as well as the architects and other key stakeholders, have been planning since then and are prepared for construction to begin this term with an anticipated opening in Fall 2018.
