The MNS Society, after meeting with Director Holger Kleinke of the Waterloo Institute of Nanotechnology (WIN), has secured Materials & Nanosciences Program affiliation with WIN.
This new affiliation as an undergraduate program with the WIN increases the MNS profile in Waterloo and the world over; making MNS a more competitive program with greater acclaim. The affiliation was predicated on the great outreach work of the Faculty of Science and MNS advisors in our overseas international program participation. Currently, WIN-SUN ties are furthered by the 2+1+1 and 2+2 BSc. Programs in the MNS program exclusively.
Together, the WIN-MNS and WIN-Nanotechnology Engineering represent the largest Nanotechnology & Nanoscience Undergraduate Programs in Canada, and are feeder undergraduate degrees to the Collaborative Nanotechnology Graduate Program (MSc, MASc, PhD). Between MNS and NE, many top students from around the world have chosen the University of Waterloo as their program of choice. These programs prepare students to participate in a $2-trillion industry and become the next generation research scholars. WIN also partners with top nanotechnology institutes around the world to establish joint education programs.
