How to clear your Browser cache

Firefox clear cache

  1. Click the menu button hamburger icon and select Options.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data…

  4. Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data.
  5. With Cached Web Content check marked, click the Clear button.
  6. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you’ve made will automatically be saved.

Tip: Here’s another way to clear the Firefox cache:

Click the Library button books in a shelf  icon, click History and click Clear Recent History…. Next to Time range to clear, choose Everything from the drop-down menu, select Cache in the items list, make sure other items you want to keep are not selected and then click the Clear Now button.

Chrome clear cache

Computer:

In Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More three vertial dots.
  3. Click More tools more than symbol Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files,” check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.

Android:

In the Chrome app

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app google app icon.
  2. At the top right, tap More three vertical dots.
  3. Tap History more than symbol Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to “Cookies and site data” and “Cached images and files,” check the boxes.
  6. Tap Clear data.

Iphone * IPad:

Before clearing cache & cookies

When you clear your cache and cookies, your browser might sign you out of your Google Account.

In the Chrome app

  1. On your iphone or iPad, open the Chrome app google chrome symbol.
  2. At the bottom, tap More three vertical dots.
  3. Tap History more than symbol Clear browsing data.
  4. Make sure there’s a check mark next to “Cookies, Site Data,” and “Cached Images and Files.”
  5. Tap Clear browsing data.

Microsoft Edge clear cache

  1. Click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner and then click settings

  1. Click on Privacy, Search and Services
  2. On Clear browsing data select Choose what to clear if you want to select what do you want to clear if not then you can just click on clear browsing data now

  1.  If you select chose what to clear then check marks if they are not already there to browsing history, cookies and other site data and cached images and files. You can select any other things that you want to delete/clear but this are the main ones. Click on clear now

Safari clear cache

  1. Click on the Safari tab at the top right of your screen and choose Preferences from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click the Advanced tab of the menu that pops up.
  3. At the end of the tab, select the “Show Develop menu in menu bar” box and close the Preferences menu.

  4. Click the Develop tab from the Safari menu at the top of the page.
  5. Click Empty Caches from the dropdown menu.

You may also want to clear your browsing history in addition to emptying your cache. Here’s how to do that.

  1. Choose the History tab in Safari (pictured above).
  2. At the very bottom of the dropdown menu, choose Clear History.
  3. A box pops up with a choice to clear the last hour, today, today and yesterday, or all history. Choose your time frame and click the Clear History button.

If you’re not sure how far back you want to clear your of your browsing data, err on the side of clearing less. You can always go back and clear out more later.

Any tabs you have open at the time you clear your browsing history will remain. You may notice that the Frequently Visited section no longer appears when you open a new tab. As you build up your browsing history again, those sites will reappear.

How to clear the Safari cache on iPhone, iPad, or iPod

You have two choices to clear your cache on Safari’s mobile app.

To clear your entire browsing history and cache:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Safari.
  3. Tap Clear History and Website Data
