Email and OneDrive Storage Update
On August 5, 2025, Information Systems & Technology (IST) announced a temporary exception to email and OneDrive data storage limits for employees with A5 licences. This exception was introduced to help reduce disruption to day‑to‑day work while individuals worked to lower their storage usage to align with new institutional data storage requirements.
The temporary exception, which was originally scheduled to end on May 1, 2026, has now been extended. This extension will remain in place while IST completes the final steps to implement alternative data storage options.
Once these alternative storage solutions are available, IST will share another communication confirming next steps and providing an updated timeline for the temporary exception.

Employees should continue to:
- Review how much email and OneDrive storage they are currently using
- Take steps to reduce data storage usage where possible
Reducing storage usage now will help ensure a smoother transition once the new storage options are in place.
