Webex storage no longer available - Effective immediately

What is happening? Effective immediately, Webex cloud storage is no longer available

 

Why is this happening? The University has reached its current storage limit for Webex recordings. Due to the planned end of central support of Webex services that was announced in May, no further storage will be purchased. 

 

What is the impact? 

  • Webex is still available for use until April 2025, but new Webex recordings cannot be saved in the cloud, you can store only on your local storage.
  • Historical recordings should be moved to another space, such as a personal OneDrive account
  • Plans to use an alternative centrally supported collaborative solution, such as Teams or Zoom, should be made. Please refer to options for transitioning to another conferencing tool for self serve, manual sharing options. Note, this method is recommended for teaching activities.
