Pelin completed her undergraduate studies in Biology & Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University and her Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience at Queen’s University. She joined the lab as a PhD student in 2019. Pelin is interested in intentional forgetting: the forgetting of irrelevant (e.g., old high school locker combination) or unwanted (e.g., memories of breaking up with a partner) information on purpose to declutter memory.
