Alumni, Former PhD Student
Milad Entezami

Milad joined the QNC-MBE research team in February 2022 as a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), focusing on the development of innovative THz photoconductive antennas for sensing, spectroscopy, and communication applications.

He earned his MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2017, where he developed and implemented a microwave sensing system for emergency brain stroke detection. During this time, he also gained over three years of practical experience in wave propagation and antenna systems through collaboration with the Antenna Type Approval Laboratory at the University of Tehran.

In May 2019, Milad joined the Centre for Intelligent Antenna and Radio Systems (CIARS) at the University of Waterloo as a graduate research assistant, working on novel THz biosensors for early cancer detection. His research interests span a broad range of electromagnetic devices and systems.

Since graduating in 2025, he has been advancing technology as a quantum microwave design engineer.
