Broadcast facilities

Waterloo has facilities to provide broadcast-quality audio and video feeds with a double-ender studio. Please contact us for details on how to book.

Parking (for media)

Parking passes are available for members of the media who come to the Waterloo campus for events or to interview faculty or staff. While we cannot reserve spaces, the passes allow members of the media to park a vehicle for free in several designated spots across campus.

    The University of Waterloo is Canada’s most innovative university, according to a reputational survey from Maclean’s magazine.

    Maclean’s annual ranking of Canadian universities, released today, also named Waterloo second for best overall, highest quality, and leaders of tomorrow out of the 49 universities surveyed.

  3. Oct. 11, 2017Asteroid passing near earth

    A Waterloo expert is available to speak about the asteroid that will pass in the moon’s orbit overnight.

    Michel Fich – Physics and Astronomy

    Professor Michel Fich is a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Waterloo, and an expert in the formation of stars and the impact on the formation of solar systems. Fich has also been involved in many space missions, including two recent missions developed with the Canadian Space Agency, and is currently the lead in building a large telescope in Chile.
