Open Access Week, Call for Content

Monday, August 29, 2022

The Open Scholarship Committee is working on programming for Open Access Week. This year’s theme is Open for Climate Justice. We would like to profile folks interested in talking about their research or other work related to climate justice, which can ideally be tied to open access or open education.

These discussions can take the form of either a short, 5-minute video, a write-up for the Daily Bulletin, or a lengthier Zoom presentation. We would like to highlight work that is already happening on campus.

Further Event Details
OA week runs from October 24–30, 2022 and the Library, along with the OSC, often plans events related to the theme for the international event.

From the event
“This year’s focus on Climate Justice seeks to encourage connection and collaboration among the climate movement and the international open community. Sharing knowledge is a human right, and tackling the climate crisis requires the rapid exchange of knowledge across geographic, economic, and disciplinary boundaries.”
