Payment Instructions

Renison University College does not encourage or support sending an international payment using a third-party payment service other than Convera GlobalPay. If you choose to use an unauthorized payment service, Renison University College is not responsible for any issues you may experience, such as:

  • a delay in the arrival of the payment
  • tracking the payment
  • refunding the payment

Please note, we do not provide our banking information to students.

Please allow 14 days for an international payment to arrive. 

Before making your payment, please review the cancellation and deferral policy for your program.

International payments using Convera GlobalPay for Students

Step by Step Instructions for Convera GlobalPay for Students

To complete your payment, you will need your application ID number from Renison International Programs. When you submit an application, we will email you with an application ID number. If you did not receive an application ID number, please contact eli@uwaterloo.ca for English language programs and renison.sace@uwaterloo.ca for study abroad and pre-university/pathway programs.

Step 1: Visit the GlobalPay website

On the GlobalPay website, you will be asked to enter the payment amount and the country you are paying from. Please email eli@uwaterloo.ca for English language programs and renison.sace@uwaterloo.ca for study abroad and pre-university/pathway programs.

Step 2: Choose a way to pay

GlobalPay will give you one or more options for paying your fees. Choose the option that works best for you.

Step 3: Enter the student's details

Enter the student's details, including application ID or student ID number, name, and email address.

Step 4: Enter the payer's details

Enter the information of the person who will be making the payment, including name, email address, and billing address.

Step 5: Complete your payment

GlobalPay will direct you on how to complete your payment. Most payments can be made online, but instructions will be provided for payments that must be completed in-person at your bank.

If you have questions about your payment using Convera, please email the Convera Support Team . Be sure to include your full name and Student ID number in all communications.

Payment from a bank in Canada

There are two ways to pay your fees from a Canadian bank:

  1. Bank Payment

    • Add Renison University College as a bill payment “payee”.

    • Use your student ID number as the “account number”.   Please be very sure that you are using the correct student ID number.

    • Allow 2-4 business days for your payment to reach Renison University College.

    • If you post-date your payment, we will not be able to process it until the date of the payment. Late fees may apply.

  2. Certified Cheque, Money Order or Bank Draft from a Canadian Bank

    • Payable to Renison University College.

    • Include your student number and name on the memo line of the payment.

    • If you send any mail by courier, please address it to:

Payment online

You will receive an invoice for your program fees; once your invoice is available and if you prefer to pay online with a credit card or debit card, you may sign into your portal profile to pay.

NOTE: a 3% convenience charge will be applied for fees paid via online credit/debit card payment. If you pay your remaining program fees online through the student portal, you will receive a separate invoice for this 3% convenience charge.

Payment in-person at Renison

  • Students already in the Waterloo area may choose to pay their fees in-person at Renison University College using cash or an Interac-branded debit card.
  • Visa and Mastercard payments are also accepted in-person at Renison, but a convenience charge will apply to all Visa and Mastercard transactions (including Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit).
  • Payments can be made in-person at the Renison International Programs Office (Room 1930), between 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Renison closes at 3 PM on a Friday preceding a holiday weekend.
