Refunds and Withdrawals

Programs that are 8 to 15 weeks in duration
The following refund and cancellation policy terms apply to full-term (8 to 15-week duration) Renison International Programs and to program fees, including accommodation and/or immersion experience fees (if applicable).
Payment of full fees is due two weeks in advance of the program start date.
All requests to withdraw from a program and receive a refund must be received in writing via e-mail to renison.ip@uwaterloo.ca.

Up to two weeks (14 calendar days) before the official program start date: Students/participants are eligible for a full refund of program fees, less any non-refundable administrative fees, including application fees and tuition deposits.

In the two weeks leading up to the official program start date: Students/participants are eligible for a 70% refund of program fees less any non-refundable administrative fees, including application fees and tuition deposits.

During the first week of the program*: Students/participants are eligible for a 50% refund of program fees less any non-refundable administrative fees, including application fees and tuition deposits*.

After the first week of the program*: Students/participants are not eligible for a refund.
*The first week of the program is defined as 7 calendar days from and including the official program start date.

Programs that are 4 weeks or less in duration
The following refund and cancellation policy terms apply to short-term (2 to 4-week duration) Renison International Programs and to program fees, including accommodation and/or immersion experience fees (if applicable).
Payment of full fees is due two weeks in advance of the program date, unless otherwise specified (e.g. Future Ready)
All requests to withdraw from a program and receive a refund must be received in writing via e-mail to renison.ip@uwaterloo.ca.

Program Cancellations or Visa Denials (applies to all programs)

In the case of program cancellation: Students/participants enrolled in a program that is cancelled by Renison University College will be refunded in full. Renison University College reserves the right to cancel any program offering due to insufficient enrollment.

In the case of visa or study permit denial*: Students/participants may request a full refund less the non-refundable application fee, provided they have shared official proof of the visa or study permit denial to Renison International Programs via email by the official program start date.
NOTE: If your visa or study permit is in process (has not yet been approved or denied) and you are concerned you will not receive an answer on time to begin your program, please contact renison.ip@uwaterloo.ca as soon as possible and/or no later than the official start date of the program to discuss next steps.
*Tuition deposits will only be refunded in the case of visa or study permit denial and if official proof of this denial is provided according to the terms listed above.
Deferrals and Fee Transfers (applies to all programs)
The following deferral and transfer of fees policy terms apply to Renison International Programs.
All requests to defer your program registration and/or transfer fees must be received in writing via e-mail to renison.ip@uwaterloo.ca by the official program start date.

Students/participants are eligible to defer their registration and program fees to a future term/session once free of charge; students will be charged $100 CAD to defer their registration and program fees for a second time. Deferrals are not permitted more than two times.

Students/participants cannot transfer their fees to another student; students may transfer their fees to another Renison International Program running during the same term, and only if they are deemed eligible for admission to the program.
