The Safe Interactions Lab and Active & Interactive Robotics Lab (A.I.R. Lab) launched a new collaborative project titled “Children and Parents’ Mental Models of Security and Privacy in Humanoid Robots” to investigate families’ perceptions of security and privacy risks associated with robots for education and entertainment. The project is co-led by Professor Leah Zhang-Kennedy (Stratford School) and Professor Yue Hu (Faculty of Engineering) and funded by UWaterloo’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute (CPI) and RoboHub.
