My academic interests and experience relates to a broad range of wetland hydrology. In particular my focus is on peatlands, especially reclamation (building) of peatlands (as an oil sands land reclamation initiative), restoration of damaged peatlands (especially by horticultural extraction), as well as the impact of resource development (mine dewatering) and contaminant transport in peatlands
