Abstract:

ABSTRACT: In this brief article, I argue that the root cause of sexual violence in Jay Asher’s Thirteen Reasons Why is toxic masculinity. To support this argument, I discuss relative concepts and definitions, gender in literature, the snowball effect metaphor, and educational implications.
