Khaled A. Saleh was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1991. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2012; and the M.Sc. degree in electrical power engineering from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2014. Currently, he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada.
His research interests include power systems protection, travelling-wave based protection, distributed and renewable generation protection and control, dc grids, and application of optimization and digital signal processing techniques in power systems.
