Khalid is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree with the Broadband Communications Research (BBCR) Laboratory at the University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Professor Xuemin (Sherman) Shen. He is working on the protocol design in the next generation 60GHz (NG60/802.11ay) and the MU-MIMO technology for the millimeter wave systems. His current research interests include wireless communications, millimeter wave, fifth-generation cellular networks, medium access control (MAC) in wireless local area networks (WLANs).
