I am a PhD student at the University of Waterloo (under the supervision of Prof. Sue Ann Campbell). My research interest is in computational neuroscience, with a particular focus on models of the thalamocortical system. My Masters thesis was on the effect of genetic defects in a cortical circuit model associated with childhood absence epilepsy. I have also worked on modelling sleep oscillations using the neural engineering framework. With a background in education, I hold an interest in math education research as well.
