Mushu Li obtained PhD degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Prof. Xuemin (Sherman) Shen in 2021. She currently is a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo.

Mushu joined the Broadband Communications Research (BBCR) Lab, University of Waterloo, in 2017. She received the B.Eng. degree from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Oshawa, ON, Canada, in 2015, and the M.A.Sc. degree from Ryerson University, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 2017.

Her research interests include system optimization in vehicular networks, machine learning in wireless networks, and resource management for next-generation wireless networks. She has received many awards, including the prominent NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship (2018-2021), Ontario Graduate Scholarships in 2015 and 2016, etc. At present, she has published 6 first-author technical papers in IEEE Transactions, including IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE transactions on Vehicular Technology, and IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking. 

She has served as the technical program committee (TPC) member for several international conferences, including IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (2020-2021) and EAI CollaborateCom (2020). She has also been a reviewer for various IEEE journals and transactions, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Network, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, IEEE Communication Standard Magazine, and IEEE Communications Letters.
