CIVE 700 - Advanced Reinforced Concrete

Semester:

Fall

Offered:

2021
Building upon design concepts typically covered in a one-semester undergraduate reinforced concrete design course (e.g., design of beams, one-way slabs, short columns, etc.), this course provides students with a basic understanding of reinforced concrete system behavior and the ability to design simple reinforced concrete building structures. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to design beams and columns while accounting for complex loading scenarios (e.g., torsion, biaxial bending), two-way slabs, walls, and simple reinforced concrete frame structures under gravity and lateral loading scenarios
