Thursday, November 26, 2015 1:30 pm - 1:30 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

(post lecture discussion at the Grad House)
While much of John’s current research focuses on connections between salmon and ecosystems in British Columbia, past studies have ranged from mating systems of arctic birds to conservation of Cambodian watersnakes. John has held a wide variety of scientific advisory positions, including co-chair of the sub-committee that assesses extinction risk of marine fishes for the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC), the body that advises the federal government on listing decisions for the Species at Risk Act.
