As a crossover effort between old and new executives, we will be going on another Brewery Tour, this time in Guelph! Come out to celebrate a great year with SWIGS, and welcome in the new executive team. We will be starting off the evening at Royal City Brewery in Guelph, and later retiring at the Heuther Hotel for food and pool.

The Ecohydrology Research Group at the University of Waterloo is offering a free symposium; the topic of the symposium is: "Linking watershed biogeochemistry and coastal ecology: Challenges for modeling and environmental policy".

Our friendly neighbours at the School of Architecture are hosting an exhibition on water resources. SWIGS will be making a presence there and are inviting all of our members to visit and build some BRIDGES with our architecture friends (yes you will likely hear that joke a lot).

Our workshop this month will be on Geographic Information System (GIS), held concurrently with the Waterloo Geospatial Club. Need to use GIS in your research, or simply want to learn a highly valuable and employable skill for future work? Be sure to sign up for our workshop
