Here is a short reflective message from the 2020-2021 SWIGS Co-chairs (Sondus and Laura):
We recognize that this past year has been challenging for everyone. The rise of the global pandemic led to many changes and challenges for graduate students at the University of Waterloo. SWIGS provided us with the opportunity to connect with graduate students in different faculties and co-create/ host many fun social, academic and outreach events. We are very proud of our team and how we have overcome the daunting challenge of operating online only. Many of us have never even met face-to-face, but we feel inter-connected on so many levels! It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of the SWIGS team this year and we look forward to watching/helping the next team grow and develop.
