Sarah is an MSc student supervised by Dr. Mark Servos in the Department of Biology at the University of Waterloo. She is investigating the often-overlooked enantioselective behaviour of chiral pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) and drugs of abuse (DOAs) in the tissues of fish as well as the aquatic environment. Her research aims to determine the potential differences in environmental fate and ecotoxicology of different enantiomers of chiral PPCPs and DOAs.

She is joining SWIGS as Cohort 10’s Collaborative Water Program Liaison. Throughout the year, she is excited to get involved with the different group initiatives, along with meeting everyone and getting interdisciplinary experiences through the program.
