Yidan Shi (BSc (Mathematics), 2014, Beijing Jiaotong University, MSc (Statistics), 2015, Western University, Ph.D. (Statistics), 2020, University of Waterloo) is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
Yidan was a consultant at the SCCRU between 2017 and 2018. She has helped many researchers from different disciplines with their statistical needs. During her term of service, Yidan worked closely with Christine Logel (Renison University College) to study the effect of an intervention on a large group of students at the University of Waterloo. The large data set and the numerous research questions called for her immense knowledge of statistical models and computing skills.
Yidan is currently working on developing novel statistical methods and collaborative projects on neurodegenerative diseases. The consulting experience at SCCRU has equipped her with knowledge of applied statistical methods and common statistics software, as well as skills to effectively communicate with collaborators.
Yidan Shi's primary research interest focuses on time-to-event data analysis, incorporating auxiliary data and Alzheimer's disease. Find out more about Yidan's recent work.
