2025 Symposium

The Centre for Information Integrity and Information Systems Assurance at the University of Waterloo (UWCISA) is pleased to announce its 14th biennial symposium on Information Integrity and Information Systems Assurance, with a focus this year on sustainability. Our symposia are recognized for the extensive interaction between practitioners and academics.

The Symposium will take place in Fall 2025.
It will use a hybrid format with both in-person and online sessions.
In-person sessions will be held in Toronto at a location to be announced soon

Research papers and panels are invited from academe and practice addressing IS/IT topics related to risk, control, and assurance, with preference given to papers and panels on such topics affecting sustainability reporting and disclosure. However, papers on other relevant IS/IT topics will be considered. In addition to paper and panel sessions, the symposium will include special PD sessions and workshops on these topics.

What past attendees have said

Great variety of speakers and topics. Each speaker had just enough time to keep my attention - plenty of time for Q&A.

Academic, 2023 Symposium (AI Workshop)

This was an excellent session and I would love to see more about these types of topics. ... We can free up time and capacity for work that requires innovative thinking and judgement.
