Research: During my MSc, I aim to investigate the effect of prolonged head-down bed rest with or without daily exercise and artificial gravity interventions on the regulation of fluid regulating hormones, blood volume, and complex blood flow in carotid arteries and the internal jugular vein. I am also interested in evaluating the relationship between complex blood flow in the carotid arteries and age associated changes in arterial stiffness.

Funding: NSERC CGS-M, MSFSS, OGS, President’s Graduate Scholarship

Co-Advisor: Dr. Richard Hughson

Bio: I grew up in St. Catharines, ON and completed a BSc in Kinesiology with a minor in Medical Physiology at the University of Waterloo. When I’m not in the lab you can catch me at a local coffee shop or up at the cottage on the dock.
