Logan Burt

MSc Student
Burt profile

Research Interests: I am interested in studying human physiology, cardiovascular sciences, and exercise physiology. I am currently investigating whether a cardiovascular response can predict cognitive load and whether the response differs between younger and older adults. Using ECG and blood pressure monitoring, I am measuring changes in the cardiovascular system in response to reading tasks of varying difficulty. I am also currently studying how blood flow restriction affects blood flow and VO2 during exercise using a metabolic cart and ultrasound.

Bio: I grew up in Waterloo, ON and graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Honours Biomedical Science (2026) minoring in Medical Physiology. In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar and playing hockey in the winter.

Funding: Joint CityUHK-UW Seed fund
