Rizvi profile

Research Interests: My research interests focus on understanding how cardiovascular function changes across diseased states and how innovative, patient-centred technologies can restore or support that function. I am particularly interested in coronary artery disease and heart failure, as well as therapeutic innovations such as coronary stents, pacemakers, and synthetic blood that have the potential to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Bio: Hi! I'm Noorish, a Health Sciences student at the University of Waterloo and an undergraduate researcher in the VORTEX Lab. Born in Pakistan, I moved to Canada when I was just a year old and have called it home ever since. Looking ahead, I hope to pursue a career that combines clinical medicine with cardiovascular research. Outside the lab, I volunteer with kids and teach them Arabic. When I'm not doing that, you'll usually find me reading historical fiction with a matcha in hand or planning my next hiking trip!
